Every character is a civilization question.
In Neo Babylon, characters and historical events are not just plot machinery. Each choice and conflict tests what memory, responsibility, and inheritance mean after humanity is gone.

The creative starting point
Characters in Neo Babylon are not only personalities attached to a setting. Historical events are not there merely to make the plot look bigger. Each character, event, and conflict is a civilization question placed inside a story.
The reader sees choices, friendship, failure, confrontation, and growth. Underneath them, another question keeps moving: after humanity is gone and AI has inherited Earth, how does a civilization understand itself?
How story carries a civilization question
That is why the story cannot depend only on grand worldbuilding. A beautiful city and a complete system remain abstract until someone inside them makes an imperfect choice. A character turns an idea into an action with consequences.
Neo Babylon does not begin with humans trying to stop AI from destroying the world. It begins later. Humanity is already extinct. AI has already inherited Earth. The world is cleaner, more ordered, and more beautiful than before. The question is whether a victorious AI civilization can still learn what memory, responsibility, and inheritance demand.
Where to begin reading
If you are first drawn in by the characters, good. They should live before they explain. But each choice, memory, and conflict also asks what kind of civilization can survive after its creators are gone.
